La Casa de las Titas

La Casa de las Titas is a manor house built in the 19^th century, although it still has rooms and some of the structure from the 18^th century. It is located in the old historical centre of the town of Vélez-Málaga, capital of the region la Axarquía, in the Eastern Costa del Sol.

The house has been restored in two phases, always trying to respect and highlight the architectural and structural value of the original building. At the beginning, the main section of the house was renovated to serve as home for the owners. In the second phase, the rest of the building was restored, in order to include the touristic apartments.

Our idea in engaging the renovation was to preserve the idiosyncrasy belonging to a building of that age, without loosing the spirit of the original house, and combining all that with details of 21st century architecture. The result is a subtle mixture of an old charming Andalusian house and the design, facilities and services of a modern building.

The house is known as La Casa de las Titas among the family members, because they lived during a long part of the last century. The single uncles and ,especially aunties, of the current owners lived there. Because of that, each of the 9 apartments of the house reminds us and inspires itself in the family members or in the works that were done there in the past.

The house offers 9 apartments, fully equipped and furnished, with a charming and personal decoration, and each with its own distribution, adapted to the building’s architecture.

La Casa de las Titas is a unique experience full of sensations, ideal to enjoy the beautiful town of Vélez-Málaga, and perfectly situated so the visitor can discover the region, the Natural Park of Sierras Tejeda and Almijara and the unspoilt beaches in Maro.
