High-speed train

The launch of the Madrid-Málaga high-speed train (AVE) brought about significant improvement in transport communications in Málaga Province. What is more, the Córdoba-Málaga high-speed rail paved the way for new AVE products on the Costa del Sol, like the extension of the AVANT line linking Córdoba to Seville.

The Costa del Sol is now more easily accessed, with trains linking Málaga to Córdoba in 45 minutes, to Seville in 55 minutes and to Madrid in two hours and a half. Besides, María Zambrano is a modern, centrally located train station where you can find a great variety of restaurants and shops.

Last but not least, there are daily high-speed rail connections between Málaga and Barcelona, and between Málaga and Valencia via Córdoba.
