Good Friday commemorates the death of Jesus of Nazareth on the cross. Despite of the contrasts, Good Friday is the most unitary day of the Holy Week. The eight 'Cofradías' (Brotherhoods) dress in black and have a procession to mourn the Virgen.

There are eight processions which can be seen in Malaga on that day:

Mount Calvary: Leaving at 3:00pm from the Chapel of 'Monte Calvario' (La Victoria neighbourhood).

Descent: Leaving at 4:45pm from the Chapel of the 'Sagrado Descendimiento' (La Malagueta neighbourhood).
