Museo Revello de Toro

Museo Revello de Toro

Share

Museo Revello de Toro was founded with three main goals: to display the works of artist Félix Revello de Toro and other local artists; to give visibility to the home and workshop of Pedro de Mena; and demonstrate the latter's knowledge, trajectory and works.

The museum is housed in a residential building dating back to the 17th century, which was the home and workshop of sculptor Pedro de Mena. It is one of very few buildings from the century that remain in the city.

Museo Revello de Toro opened in 2010 and houses 6 exhibition spaces equipped with the latest technologies.

The Félix Revello de Toro exhibition, in rooms 1 and 2, displays one hundred and sixteen of the artists works. Here you can see Self-portrait (1990), My mother (1950) and Elements of Survival (1978). Rooms 3 and 4 are dedicated to feminine figures, while 5 and 6 contain some of the artist’s special works.

The museum also has two additional cultural spaces. One for temporary exhibitions and another dedicated to the memory of Pedro de Mena.
