Edificio de la Aduana de Torrox - Provincia de Málaga y su Costa del Sol

Casa de la Aduana

Share

Casa de la Aduana, also known as Casa de la Moneda, is a building dating back to the 18th century. The street on which it sits, Calle Baja, was for many centuries an axis between the various royal roads and tracks. As products had to pass by, the building became a customs point where taxes and trade fees were applied. Over the years, Casa de la Aduana bore witness to the dances and parties held by the Torrox bourgeoisie. In terms of its architecture, the building has three floors and is currently divided into three separate dwellings. Like all the houses in the area, it has a large terrace overlooking the river and a garden which is home to circular wrought iron pergola.
