The Customs House
The Customs House is located on Calle Baja. The eighteenth-century three-storey building has also served as Mint. Now it is divided into three separate homes. On the top side of the façade, the iron columns that have been integrated into the façade itself are still visible.
The building is an icon of the thriving past of Torrox. In the 1920s, it played host to the balls and parties of the local bourgeoisie. After falling into disuse, it was divided into three different homes for private use.
One of the homes was bought by Torrox Town Hall, rehabilitated and dedicated to the exhibition of Antonio Medina Bueno’s mock-ups.
