The megalithic sepulchre of El Romeral is a typical false cupola tomb. It has a corridor with masonry walls and a flat roof, of which eleven of the original slabs remain. The maximum surviving length is 26.3 metres, with an average width of 1.5 metres and an average height of 1.95 metres. The chamber has a false cupola roof and its walls, which are slightly vaulted, are made of masonry, crowned with a horizontal slab. It is round, 5.2 metres in diameter and 3.75 metres high.

At the rear of this chamber there is an opening that leads to a small corridor ending in a small chamber, which reproduces on a smaller scale the morphology and building technique of those we have already described. The total preserved length of the tomb is just over 34 metres. It is covered by a 68-metre-diameter tumulus and, surprisingly, faces an azimuth of 199º, in other words, it is the southsouthwest octant, and it is one of the very few monuments on the Iberian Peninsula facing the western half of the sky. Its axis points are exactly to the highest elevation on the El Torcal Mountains, known as Camorro de las Siete Mesas.
