Museo Etnográfico De Benalauría

Museo Etnográfico De Benalauría

Share

Molino de Antonio Almargo contains one of the best-preserved olive presses in Benalauría and is a popular local tourist destination. Since being restored and renovated, the large stone building was turned into a museum and since 1992 has opened its doors to the public. The site contains a shop where you can buy various agricultural products such as raisin liquor, chestnuts in liquor, and more. During your visit you can see a press with an Arab millstone and the tanks used to catch the oil. Both olives and grapes were pressed in the mill. The Museo Etnográfico has a number of rooms with shelves, pots and production utensils, offices for administration connected to the mill and a storage room for traditional farming and agricultural tools that are no longer used today.
