Casa Antonia: Traditional flavours in Serranía de Ronda

Share

Casa Antonia is a comparatively young project betting on tradition. The restaurant opened its doors in March 2008, realising an idea of Sebastián Márquez's: "Food has always been excellent at home. Wouldn't it be a good idea to serve such good food to other people?"
Sebastián's mother, Antonia Carrero, a.k.a. Antonia la Hechicera, is the cook. Her delicious recipes remind us of traditional cooking methods and ingredients.
Antonia prepares salads with vegetables and other seasonal products grown in her own kitchen garden, well-kept by Joaquín Márquez, or in other nearby gardens growing organic vegetables.
Customers can choose from a wide variety of dishes: pork steak with eggs, fired or grilled king clip, marinated dogfish, chorizo pies or "sartená." The wine list has wines from Gaucín, Ronda and other vine-growing regions in Spain, like Rioja or Ribera del Duero.
Casa Antonia is open every day except Monday, from 9 in the morning to 11 p.m.
