Museo del Patrimonio Municipal currently counts a collection of over 4,000 pieces divided into the following categories: natural spaces, buildings, sculptures, paintings and historic documents. The museum was founded to house paintings that had been acquired by the city, becoming the Municipal Heritage Collection, tasked with distributing and supporting local art. There are 54 splendid pieces of personal property dating back to the 19th century on display as well as a large collection of 20th century pieces that were donated or acquired by the city. Highlights include three sculptures: Peregrinos by Casasola, Busto by Moreno Carbonero and Alegoría en bronce by Mariano Benlliure. There are also many paintings, including a collection donated by Muñoz Degrain. The museum has two rooms: one dedicated to pieces from the 15th to the 18th centuries (documents, bibliographies, engravings, etc.) and another with objects from the 19th century. There is also a function room used to host non-profit events. The museum also runs workshops for adults and children, guided tours and a language exchange programme.
