The Torre de Salazar is a recently-restored tower dating back to the 9th century. It was part of the structure in charge of guarding and defending the city in the Arab-Andalusian era, and its original purpose was to be a point of surveillance. It sits on an elevated spot and is 7.5 metres high, allowing the person sitting at the top capable of seeing any lurking danger.
