Mule Fair

The Mule Fair in Arenas is aimed at bringing old farming traditions back to life, from the times when mules where the only aid in the fields. At the fair, you can get in contact with lots of mule-related activities: exhibitions, shoeing, burdening competitions, threshing, herding, mule, donkey, and horse races… In addition to this, verdiales band shows, flamenco dancing and singing, paella for all, and locally produced organic Muscat wines.Every year, the Mule Fair brings breeders, herders, traders, and other men in the world of mules together. The Honorary Herder emerges from them. There is popular dancing, migas to eat, and Arenas wines to drink. Visitors can use the fair as an excuse to visit the main attractions in town in a getaway full of tradition, entertainment, and great food.
