Tour descriptions:
1) Historical and Cultural City Tour:
Málaga Bike Tours flagship tour is the perfect way for tourists to see the best that Málaga has to offer in just a few hours. Thanks to the bicycle, our clients see parts of the city that traditional tours simply can’t reach. We wind our way through the narrow arabic streets, hidden plazas, boulevards, past the Roman Theatre, Alcazaba, the cathedral, three of the oldest churches in Málaga, the bullring, parks, the port, the beach front and much more! Throughout the tour, our entertaining guides explain the history, culture and anecdotes of this great city and its people. There is a break in the tour at a beach bar where clients are invited to a complimentary ‘Málaga dulce’- the famous local sweet wine.
2) The Football Tour:
Since the buying of the Malaga Football Club by Sheik Abdullah Al-Thani in 2010 and the signing of big name national and international players, interest is peaking in what is going on at Malaga F.C. This tour takes you on a trip through over 100 years of history of the club and how it relates to various monuments and areas of the city. The tour includes a guided tour of La Rosaleda- Málaga’s football stadium and a visit to the club´s museum.
3) Two-Wheel Tapas Tour:
Málaga Bike Tours offers a unique two-wheel tapas tour. Whilst cycling around the city, clients get to try tasty tapas and the local sweet wine along the route at three typical Malagueño establishments: La Casa Guardia- the oldest bar in Málaga founded in 1840; El Pimpi- one of the most emblematic and charming bodega bars in the city and enjoy the sea views- as well as the Mediterranean food- at a chiringuito beach bar.
4) Market Day Tour
A city tour that includes breakfast, tastings at the central market, and a visit to the oldest bar in Málaga. Experience what a typical market day is like for many a malagueño! Their morning starts off with a hearty breakfast of ‘chocolate con churros’ (thick hot chocolate with long savoury donuts for dipping) in preparation for the shopping trip to the monumental central market Atarazanas and then a well-deserved glass of the famous local sweet wine at a nearby bodega: La Antigua Casa de Guardia to end the morning in true Malagueñan style.
5) Nightseeing Tour
During the summer months, beat the heat and see Málaga in a different light- at night! Between late June and mid-September Málaga Bike Tours offers guided tours of the city starting at 9 p.m. Taking advantage of the last rays of sunshine we cycle through the beautiful botanical gardens of Málaga’s park and breathe in the cool sea breeze whilst cycling along the promenade. This tour lasts approximately 2 hours.
6) Coastal tour:
A tour that goes the extra mile! A 12 km. ride (24 kms return trip) along the coast with spectacular views, beautiful beaches and quaint fishing villages to Rincon de la Victoria.
The meeting point is in the Plaza de la Marina, next to the main tourist office (Oficina de Turismo), just steps from the port and the sub-bus station (Avda. Heredia) and a 7 minute walk from the train station Málaga Centro-Alameda (Cercanias line C-1). The guide will be waiting next to the tourist office (Oficina de Turismo) ten minutes before the tour with a Málaga Bike Tours bike. From there it is just a short walk to the shop to pick up the bikes.
Pasaje Talavera is between the Alameda Principal and Calle Trinidad Grund, 50 metres from the Plaza de la Marina.
