Bacon, Freud and the London School
The temporary exhibition "Bacon, Freud and the London School" shows the joint work of the first class painters who worked with a common denominator: the representation of the human figure.
Their works were painted between the second world war and the end of the twentieth century, mainly in London. Through the representation of the human figure in an everyday environment, these artists convey the fragility and vitality of human beings, developing new approaches and styles to translate the meaning of life into art. This exhibition has been organized by the Tate Modern in collaboration with the Picasso Museum in Malaga.
