Easter in Malaga

Declared of International Tourist Interest on 16th February 1980, Easter in Malaga is a great religious, social and cultural event that is held every year in the city of Malaga. There are processions from Palm Sunday to Good Friday, with an interval on Holy Saturday until Easter Sunday, when a resurrected Jesus is accompanied by a representation of all the civic-religious associations.

Thanks to the taste of the guilds and brotherhoods for baroque art and the amount of processional vestments accumulated over the years, the streets during Easter in Malaga are a setting of exuberant art full of colour and majesty.
