Fiesta de la Vendimia

There’s no celebration without wine and that’s something Mollina locals know very well, as yet again the town celebrates its Unique Provincial Tourist Event, Fiesta de la Vendimia. Visit the town to see the grape harvest and witness the excitement and incredible efforts of the wine-growers who come together for this much awaited occasion. Taking place on the second weekend of September, the event will kick off on the Friday evening with the traditional Pregón  (official opening announcement). On Saturday, enjoy the big firecracker display while surrounded by the typical harvest decorations that adorn the town. To round off the weekend, spend Sunday going on a wine tasting or taking part in a workshop at the fair. And don’t leave too soon, as there’ll be music and dancing at the outdoor stage in the evening.
