Cártama’s historic centre goes back to its roots between the 29 September and 1 October for Noches de la Bella Jarifa. Recognised as a Festival of Unique Provincial Tourist Interest, this event sees locals and visitors flooding the streets to commemorate the town’s ancient legends and love stories, such as the romantic Moorish tale of Abindarráez and Jarifa. It’s a unique opportunity to travel back in time to the Middle Ages amidst souks, stalls and stands that you can peruse along the way.
