The Tostón Popular is celebrated in Ojén the first Sunday after All Saints' Day; it is a consolidated tradition enjoyed by all the locals and has been awarded the title of Fiesta de Singularidad Turística (Festival of Tourist Singularity). The Tostón Popular publicly recreates the tradition of roasting chestnuts, always accompanied by a good brandy ojeneto, bacon and traditional pitanzas. The San Dionisio Cultural Association organises this event, which has incorporated new features over the years, such as children's games and traditional gastronomy. Come to Ojén to enjoy the characteristic smell of roasting chestnuts.
