From the city to the museum: Parisian architects
The exhibition "De la ciudad al museo: arquitecturas parisinas" exhibits the architecture of metropolitan Paris through a selection of works of from the Pompidou Centre. More than forty emblematic buildings of le Grand Paris built from 1950 are shown through drawings, mockups, photography, architectural elements, interviews and other archives.
The collection tells the story of the last 60 years of architecture, showing its conquests, research and trends. The first examples are contextualised in the post-war period and the reconstruction of the city, marked by industrialisation. Later comes a period of economic expansion with relevant construction. The show features 40 miniatures of buildings by architects such as Rem Koolhas, Jean Nouvel and Renzo Piano.
