Malaga from its watchtowers exhibition: 1854 – 1925 puts together 46 images from the collection of the photographic historian and collector Juan Antonio Fernández Rivero. The snapshots that make up the sample are made from one of the city's watchtowers: Monte Gibralfaro, the Alcazaba, the Coracha, the Cathedral's tower and other churches of Malaga, Mount Calvario, the buildings facing the port, the old house of the Larios or the Arroyo de los Ángeles.

The majority have signatures that belong to authors with a huge international prestige in there day, such as: Laurent, Garzón, Osuna, Joaquín Osés, José Martínez Sánchez, Ayola, Masson or Clifford, among others, and editors brands like Hauser & Menet, Photoglobe Zurich or Purger & Co.

The techniques and brackets brought together also vary: from albumins to silver gelatines or photochromic procedures; stereoscopic photographs and large panoramic views, hand-illuminated engravings, postcards... All of them original pieces from Juan Antonio Fernández Rivero's collection, who is the curator of the exhibition as well as the author, owner and custodian of the collection that bears his name.
