Primavera Color Fest. Torremolinos

Hundreds of people attended the last edition of the Primavera Color Fest and this year looks as though it will just as popular.

The Color Fest recreates Holi, the popular Hindu festival which consists in throwing coloured powders as a symbol of union. The origin of this tradition has the objective of celebrating the arrival of the good weather and bridging the gap between women and men, poor and rich and young and old, allowing them to stain themselves with colours, putting their differences aside.

Young people of all nationalities attend, trying to take the best profile picture for their social media, crowding into the bullring and the fairground, where the organisers distribute approximately 2,000 litres of paint thrown every half an hour.

The event begins in the evening and continues well into the night, including several performances from renowned artists.
