A trip to Marbella and Mijas is a great way of seeing the villages in the west of the Costa del Sol. Here you can treat yourself to luxury shopping, leisure activities, good food and be captivated by Andalusia’s white villages overlooking the sea. Could you ask for more?
Marbella and Puerto Banús
Puerto Banús is the hub of luxury shopping thanks to its haute couture fashion shops and its luxury boutiques. This is combined with its landscape, which boasts sea views and mountains in the background, luxury yachts and luxury cars and a huge variety of restaurants.
Marbella is not only a symbol of luxury in Spain, it also has a beautiful old town with narrow streets and whitewashed houses for you to roam through. Here you will find several shops, bars and restaurants where you’ll be able to try the local delicacies.
Marbella Marina is another delightful walk that you’ll be able to enjoy as you stroll along the seafront. If it's sun and sand that you're after, Marbella has some of the finest beaches on the Costa del Sol.
Mijas
Visit Mijas and discover the inland and the coast at the same time. On one side of Mijas, you have the coastline and the splendid Cala de Mijas with its fishing village charm. As you climb further inland, you come to Mijas Pueblo, which boasts stunning views of the Costa del Sol.
Its old town, declared a Historical-Artistic Site, impresses with its white houses and its Arabian labyrinth. Unmissable sights include the Shrine to Virgen de la Peña, which dates back to the 17th century, and the unusual rectangular bullring. Another quirky feature Mijas has are its traditional donkey taxis.
