The Costa del Sol is the perfect shopping destination. During your stopover in Málaga, you’ll be able to shop in all kinds of places: shopping centres, boutiques and small shops where you’ll be able to take souvenirs and typical Málaga products back home with you.
One of the best places to go for a stroll and to shop is Muelle Uno, a genuine open-air shopping centre in the Port of Málaga. Here you’ll find a whole host of shops for clothing, jewellery, decorations, accessories, art and handicrafts.
Just a short walk from the port will take you to Málaga’s old town, one of the city’s main shopping areas. As you stroll through its streets you’ll be able to marvel at its architectural richness and all its monuments, and you’ll be able to stop by in the shops you encounter on the way. These vary from charming little shops and traditional shops to international fashion brands. Most of these are on Calle Larios and in the surrounding areas. Not far from the historic centre, you’ll also find department stores selling all sorts of items – great for enjoying a perfect afternoon's shopping.
We recommend you go to the Atarazanas Market so you can take a souvenir of the Costa del Sol's cuisine back home with you. It’s a traditional food market where you’ll be able to buy some of the province's typical products.
If you get the chance to go to one of the villages on the Costa del Sol, you’ll be able to enjoy a day’s worth of shopping there as well. Puerto Banús in Marbella is the hub of luxury shopping, whereas in the old quarters you’ll find local shops in addition to the main brands.
