El Borge is a small, sparsely-populated municipality in the Axarquía region that is noted for being Spain's primary producer of raisins, and consequently has its own celebratory tribute in the form of "Raisin Day". On the day in question the village hosts demonstrations of all the tasks relating to this fruit, i.e. the cultivation, harvesting, transport, drying and even the chopping, filtering and packaging...
Aside from raisins, the tribute also features other regional products such as gazpacho and muscatel wine as well as bands of 'Verdiales' (a local flamenco style) and pilgrim choruses.
