Century ancient pond XIX was used for irrigation Paraje La Agusadera, extracting water from the river Genil, passing by the municipality of Cuevas Bajas. This wheel has more than 200 years and surprised by its size and, indeed, has become a symbol of the town, joining in a very symbiotic relationship with the environment where as the Soto del Río Genil the second most important river in Andalusia and in its middle course passes through Cuevas Bajas. Not surprisingly, our tourism slogan is called "Where Málaga faces the Genil", referring to the landform.

How to get here

From Malaga, take the hightway A-45 (N-331) towards Antequera. In the vicinity of this city must connect with the A-92 and immediately return to the N-331, in the stretch and no longer address highway and Lucena. Just limit the provinces of Malaga and Cordoba turn onto the A-6212, leading directly to Cuevas Bajas.

The Wheel of Agusadera accessed from C / Camino Real by the River, until the place of Agusadera.
