The Málaga Museum has two sections, the Museum of Fine Arts and the Provincial Archaeological Museum, and is the largest in Andalusia and the fifth largest in Spain. It?s housed in the historic Palacio de la Aduana de Málaga, a neoclassical building from the 18th century. The Fine Arts section houses work from key Spanish artists such as Luis de Morales, Murillo, Alonso Cano, Velázquez, Goya or Zurbarán. If you?re interested in 19th-century Spanish painting, you?re in luck as this museum houses an extensive selection that includes works from Sorolla or Ramón Casas. There are also works from members of the Málaga School of Painting such as Moreno Carbonero, Enrique Simonet, Muñoz Degrain, José Nogales and Bernardo Ferrándiz.
