Playa de Molino de Papel

Molino de Papel Beach

Playa de Molino de Papel Nerja, 29780, Nerja, 29780

In a tranquil setting away from the hustle and bustle of larger towns, Molino de Papel Beach is among the Maro - Cerro Gordo Cliffs, making it one of the area’s most beautiful natural areas.

Its name comes from an old ink paper factory whose ruins are still inside the grounds, making for an exciting walk through history. Near the ruins of the factory on the beach itself, we can find the 18th-century Río de la Miel Tower that served for safety and defence.

We recommend a good pair of shoes to get to the beach since there is a pronounced incline, giving the beach a relatively low level of occupancy. Most tourists coming here are from Spain in search of a chance to enjoy nature.

If you find it challenging to get to this beach, there’s another natural bay nearby called La Alberquilla with a comparable atmosphere that is much easier to access.
