Bodegas Morosanto

Bodegas Morosanto

Share

The history of Bodegas Morosanto dates back to 1485 when the Catholics reconquered Ronda. When they recovered these lands, they found that a marabout lived in this town, that is, a Muslim holy man. For this reason, according to Islamic customs, people would make pilgrimages to this sacred place. That's why the bodegas bear the name of Bodegas de Morosanto. Also, due to the climatic characteristics and because there is a saline deposit there, it is still a place visited for preserving a Roman press that belonged to a slave town that dates from approximately between the 1st and 5th centuries. Today you can visit these places and enjoy its delicious wine. Sounds good, right?
