Carnaval Archidona

The historic centre of Archidona will become the stage for El Carnaval, an incredible carnival defined by boundless costumes, floats, organisations, parades and coplillas. Just before the carnival begins in earnest, Jueves de Comadres, Jueves de Compadres and Jueves de Padres e Hijos will be celebrated with family get-togethers, meals and preparations for the festivities. There will also be a traditional game of Corro de los Cántaros. And last but by no means least, the Entierro de la Sardina, the burial of the sardine, will mark the end of the event.
