Carnaval de la Harina de Alozaina

Named an Event of Particular Tourist Interest by Diputación Provincial de Málaga, Carnaval de la Harina is considered one of the most important festivities in and around Alozaina. Dating all the way back to the 15th century, this carnival celebration involves the locals throwing bags of flour over anyone or anything they come across. There are also traditional costume competitions and chirigotas. Carnaval de la Harina takes place a couple of days before Lent. The event is organised by Ayuntamiento de Alozaina.
