Holy Week in Alhaurín de la Torre is definitely worth a visit. It’s a time in the year when locals devote themselves to a special tradition full of culture and passion, not to mention incredible craftsmanship. From the 1 until the 9 April, enjoy the religious processions that fill the streets of the town. On the 4 April, Holy Tuesday, Jesús Caído will head to the streets for the processions, and on the 6 April, Maundy Thursday, there’ll be a tribute to the Caídos (Fallen) in the Plaza de España followed by a parade. On Good Friday, don’t miss the Stations of the Cross and the Procesional March, and on Easter Sunday it’s finally time to see the resurrected Jesus Christ in all his glory, carried along the streets.
