Experience Holy Week in Sierra de Yeguas and discover a great Easter tradition that takes place in this town in Malaga. Religious processions during Holy Week hark back to the 17th century, although it wasn’t until the beginning of the 20th century that the brotherhoods were formed. Viernes de Dolores (Friday of Sorrows) offers the procession "de los hombres" at midnight, with penitents carrying rosaries and a cross as they walk soberly through the streets. On Maundy Thursday, it’s time for the reenactment of La Pasión, and on Good Friday the brotherhood Santo Entierro y María Santísima de la Soledad head the procession.
