Amargura y Gran Poder

The Gran Poder Brotherhood was founded in 1966 when it acquired the sculpture of the Santísima Virgen. The sculpture was intended to be part of a procession on Palm Sunday together with the “Pollinica”, but in the end it became an independent brotherhood and joined the procession on the night of Maundy Thursday with Jesús de la Humildad. In 1973, the Brotherhood acquired the sculpture of Jesús del Gran Poder en su Tercera Caída. The sculpture is housed in the chapel in San Juan de Dios hospital. The brotherhood's seat is Real Hospital de San Marcos church.
