Iglesia de San Isidro
The Church of San Isidro, located in Benadalid, is dedicated to the patrons of the village of the San Isidro de Sevilla and Our Lady of the Rosary. The first construction of this church dates from the beginning of the 16th century. However, throughout Spanish history, it has suffered attacks, especially during the Moorish uprising in 1570, the French invasion and finally the Spanish Civil War. The current construction is from the 18th century, and you can observe the Baroque influence, more clearly manifested on the access covers. You can see the preserved blinded Mudéjar door and the central arch of the head. The bell tower and the clock in the tower stand out in the structure, both donated by the Benadalid City Council in 1954.
