Church of the Convent of Nuestra Señora de las Flores
This church has a single nave, consisting of a Baroque-style alcove with impressive plasterwork on the main altar where we can find an image of Nuestra Señora de las Flores (Notre Dame des Fleurs). The sons of Encinasola, a companion of King Ferdinand and Queen Isabella during the Reconquista brought the image there. The picture dates back to the 17th century. It’s the co-patron for Álora along with Our Lady of Cabeza.
From here you can enjoy magnificent views of the Sierra de Abdalajís; El Virote, El Chopo and El Torcal, along with El Monte Ancho, Sierra de Aguas and the Sanctuary.
