Fortaleza Al Mundat
The fortress is on the Villeta hill in the town of Monda.
It’s experienced many changes and renovations starting with the invasions from the North African empires during the Taifa and Nasrid periods until it burned down in a revolt in the 16th century.
The fortress consists of two structures: the celloquia, the highest and most fortified area, and the walled area, or al-bacar.
Its ruins are currently part of a charming hotel in an idyllic part of the town of Monda.
