Torre Mudéjar

Torre Mudéjar

Share

Archez is still preserving a minaret from the old village mosque. Today, it's the bell tower attached to the church of Our Lady of the Incarnation. This 14th-century red brick Almohad architectural marvel is the only preserved Nasrid jewel you can find. Its square structure is 15 metres tool. You can see ornamentation among the cloth brick diamonds based on stylized vegetable themes, similar to the idea of the tree of life, with four stems on each side and other more harder-to-identify abstract topics, both painted in black.
