CAC Mijas - Centro de Arte Contemporáneo

Centro de Arte Contemporáneo is housed in a building dating back to the 19th century, which was given to Mijas council, before being renovated to create the art centre. It is managed by Fundación Remedios Medina. The gallery opened on the 29 November 2013 with its impressive Pablo Picasso collection. Four years later, the centre inaugurated its Dalí exhibition. Among many other works, you can see 43 engravings, sculptures, ceramics, lithographs and linocuts by the Malaga-born artist. The centre also has over 700 works of art by famous artists including Georges Braque, Miró, Fouji, Antonio Muñoz Degrain, José Moreno Carbonero, Joaquín Martínez de la Vega, and many more. There are three rooms dedicated to the Picasso exhibition, temporary exhibitions and the Dalí exhibition.
