El Arte de Viajar Despacio

La Torre de Yunquera is hosting an original and interesting photo exhibition on sculptor and artist Santi Coca: "El Arte de Viajar Despacio" (The Art of Slow Travel). Some of Coca's works – the travelling snails in particular – have come to different parts of the world in the past few years. The artist asked his followers to send him pictures of the snails in the places where they were being held. And they responded enthusiastically. This exhibition is a collection of those pictures: sinergies between the travellers and the artist, showing travelling snails in a wide variety of unusual, surprising settings. A genuinely global phenomenon, it can be visited every day except Monday from 10 am to 2 pm.

La Torre de Yunquera is a historical building of cultural interest surrounded by gardens. It houses the Yunquera and Sierra de las Nieves VIsitor Centre. The museum is on the second floor, and the viewpoint and the Astronomical Observatory are on the rooftop.
