The Holy Week of Genalguacil has its strong point in the celebration of the Baby's Garden in which the tradition of agricultural work joins the devotion for the Resurrection of Christ, shown in the meeting of the Virgin and Baby Jesus. It is an emotional act in which there is a great popular participation, as the preambles take place on Saturday afternoon since in this important festival.

The Baby's Garden is a small procession that becomes a constant bidding along the route to carry the sticks of the throne.

On Sunday morning, the village people in Genalguacil and the visitors gather round to give donations to the Garden and in return, the bosses give them what they've collected over the night before. Meanwhile, the image of the Virgen leaves the 'San Pedro Mártir of Verona' church and is looking out for her resurrected Christ.

After the meeting in the garden the two images are directed back to the church, being carried by the residents of Genalguacil. It's in that moment that the procession turns into a bidding war to see who'll take Baby Jesus's throne and where the garden-figure takes great prominence.
