Festival of Moors and Christians
Held in August, this popular fiesta is held in Benalauría on the first Sunday of August, recreating the fifteenth-century Mudéjar riot in Serranía de Ronda. Locals wear period costumes in a street re-enactment of historical events. The town’s streets travel back in time to late medieval/early modern times.

How to get here
Drive along E-15/AP-7, following directions for Guadiaro/Algeciras/Cádiz. Take Exit 142 and drive onto A-377 towards Casares/Manilva/Gaucín. At the roundabout, take the third exit onto A-377 toward Casares.
