El Bombo beach is in the town of Mijas. It's in the La Cala area, very close to the Puerto de Cabopino, which belongs to the city of Marbella. At over a kilometre long and 20 metres wide, this beach with dark sand and moderate waves has a high degree of occupancy. The beach has held the " Q " flag for tourist quality distinction since 2018. It also earned the Blue Flag in 2019, an award given only to beaches with excellent quality. Its perfect conditions for swimming make this beach considered an ideal place to enjoy with the family. Its clean and transparent waters favour the growth of marine life, making it a recommendable scuba diving spot.
