Near the Marina and the centre of the city of Marbella, El Faro Beach gets its name from the elegant 1864 lighthouse that looks over the beachfront promenade. In 2019, it earned the Blue Flag from the European Foundation for Environmental Education.
Despite being only 200 metres long and 30 metres wide, it’s one of the beaches with the most amenities in Marbella. It’s also only a five-minute walk from the area with the most exclusive luxury shops, terraces and restaurants. That explains its high level of occupancy from both locals and visitors.
A street separates the beach from the Parque de la Constitución, a pretty garden that houses a music call for fun cultural activities. Furthermore, this beach has been awarded the Blue Flag, a distinction awarded by the European Foundation for Environmental Education.
