Only four kilometres from the city centre, this beach is on the west coast of the city of Málaga between the San Andrés and La Misericordia coastal zones. The beach is 700 metres long and an average width of 15 metres with dark sand and loose stone.
It gets its name from Eduardo Huelin Reissig, the neighbourhood’s designer who also made significant investments during the Industrial Revolution. It was once a working-class neighbourhood, but after the construction of the Antonio Machado Beachfront Promenade and Huelin Park, it’s become a renowned leisure area.
There are many leisure areas surrounding kit, sports facilities and parks for families to enjoy. Just as with almost all of Málaga’s coast, Huelin offers beach bars and restaurants where you can try pescaíto and other traditional dishes.
