At more than 2,100 metres long and an average width of 40 metres, La Carihuela beach is deemed the longest beach in Torremolinos. Its volcanic roots give its sand a dark colour with calm waters.
While it’s in the most well-to-do area in town, La Carihuela Beach still preserves the charm of a traditional Andalusian village. Its name comes from the old fishing neighbourhood that was in this area.
Its wide variety of restaurants and beach bars ensures that traditional Málaga cuisine has a significant presence in the area where you can try some of the area’s most classic dishes.
It’s no surprise that La Carihuela Beach is one of the most attractive beaches in Torremolinos.
