Playa de la Fontanilla, is situated in the heart of Marbella, facing the promenade and to the west heading towards Estepona. It is therefore one of the most central beaches of Marbella, with high occupancy and much popularity due to its location.
The construction of several dams facing the shore has facilitated regeneration of areas of sand (that the battering of winter waves had eroded), ensuring perfect enjoyment of the beach. It stretches across 1,000 metres in length and 30 metres in width.
Nearby is one of the legendary hotels, which since the 70s has helped make Marbella world famous as a centre for high level tourism: Hotel Don Pepe. Here the prestigious local chef Dani Garcia began his brilliant career with the Restaurante Calima.
A mere 500 metres from Fontanilla beach, we have the Palacio de Congresos y Exposiciones Adolfo Suárez, a space of 10,000 m2, which includes an auditorium, an exhibition pavilion, meeting rooms and dining areas.
