Las Arenas Beach is next to a natural park and has many amenities like its own tourist office and free parking. It forms a strip along with Torre del Mar, situated to the east of this beach. Its name refers to the neighbouring town of Arenas since tradition tells that the inhabitants of this town had boats on this beach.
Nearby destinations include the Baviera Golf Club to the north bordering the Sierra Tejada, Almijara and Alhama Natural Park. This valley has an especially ideal climate for playing golf and is next to other beaches that tourists love, such as Torre del Mar, Nerja or Caleta de Vélez.
