Located ten minutes from the centre of Nerja, the Alberquillas Beach is in the Maro-Cerro Gordo Cliffs Nature Reserve the direction of the popularly known Nerja Caves in a natural setting of extraordinary beauty.
It is a medium-length beach that has a length of 400 metres and an average width of 20 metres. Its crystal clear water invites you to snorkel to discover the marine fauna of the area. There are no amenities permitted given its nature reserve status. The beach has a low degree of occupancy that makes it a perfect place to spend a day of complete relaxation.
Due to its difficult access, it is not unusual to find those who prefer to bathe in the nude. It is connected to the Molino de Papel beach by the remains of the Torre del Río de la Miel, an old watchtower.
