El Chorro Reservoir, an inland beach
The Conde del Guadalhorce reservoir, popularly known as El Chorro, was inaugurated in 1921. In its centenary year, it has become the first inland beach in Andalusia to be awarded the Blue Flag.
Located 600 metres from the Caminito del Rey, it is an inland tourist attraction in the province of Málaga, and every year it becomes a meeting place for bathers who want to enjoy a day surrounded by nature. You can opt for a pleasant swim in its crystal-clear waters or enjoy its different corners by renting pedal boats, canoes or boards. In addition, the little ones can also spend an unforgettable day in the floating castles on the water and adventure parks, which tend to be a major attraction for visitors.
To round off the day, the surroundings of the El Chorro reservoir offer a wide range of restaurants and accommodation for those who want to extend their stay.
