La Concepción Historical-Botanical Gardens
The Marquis of Casa Loring created the La Concepción Botanical-Historical Garden around 1855 and houses a sizeable open-air collection of tropical and subtropical flora, hosting more than a thousand species from all over the world. It was declared a historic-artistic garden in 1934 and is currently a Property of Cultural Interested (BIC).
The Málaga City Council acquired the La Concepión Botanical-Historical Garden in 1990, and after four years of renovations, was opened to the public. Today, we can find different gardens full of modern characteristics and more than 150,000 plants.
